Attendance

In order for a student to be successful at school they must maintain regular attendance. According to the Ohio Revised Code, the following absences are to be considered a legal absence – personal illness, critical illness in the family, death of a relative, quarantine of the home, observance of a religious holiday, or any other reason which the principal may deem justifiable.

Parents/Guardians are to notify the office by 9:00 a.m. if the child will not be attending school. The child upon their return to school must also bring in a written excuse. This note should also indicate the reason for the absence. If a student is absent from school due to illness, they are not permitted to participate in or attend after-school programs.
